Last night and tonight Comet Lemmon C/2012 F6 passes by the beautiful dense open cluster NGC 7789 in Cassiopeia. The clouds parted just long enough after 10 PM to snap a few frames. Smoke from the two fires in Prescott was still evident also. Sigma Cas is the bright blue star. Several stars from the Hipparchus star catalog also dot the area with their yellow color, and a few white ones too. http://www.flickr.com/photos/59454099@N00/9193355611/ JD Maddy Clarkdale, AZ -- See message header for info on list archives or unsubscribing, and please send personal replies to the author, not the list.
