Howdy all; I found Comet Hartley last night in a friend's pair of 20X80 binoculars. There were some clouds in the sky, but the Milky Way in Cassiopeia was clear. The comet is in the western part of Cas, near Lambda. It is much fainter than predicted, I would guess at a total magnitude of 8. In the big binoculars it was very faint, pretty small, much brighter in the middle and round. This is from the RV park about 12 miles from Wickenburg. It goes past the Double Cluster later in October, maybe it will brighten up by then.
