I mean Kochab, not Dubhe. I always get those two mixed up. They do make a nice 
triangle with Polaris, though.

It is clearing up in the North. I can see Vega in the NW, Dubhe and Polaris, 
and Capella in the NE. Clouds are overhead. Did she say in which general 
direction?

I'm sorry to torture you with this news, but Dawn Schur just phoned me to
report a bright aurora visible from Payson.  It appears hopelessly cloudy
right now, but those with sucker holes visible in their northern sky might
take a look.
