Astronomy Garage Sale
Bill
Kelley will be having his 2nd (not necessarily annual) Astronomy Garage Sale
at
his house on November 21st from 10AM to 3PM. Everyone is invited to bring
their unused, spare or otherwise "need to get rid of" telescope items for the
sale. If you have a lot of stuff, you might want to bring a small table to
put
the items on.
The address is: 2059 E Arrowhead Lane, Cottonwood, AZ 86326
To get to Bill's house: If coming from Phoenix or parts
south, exit I17 at HWY260, Cottonwood Exit #287 and go left into Cottonwood.
As you come into town, you will turn just before the Wal-Mart store onto Rio
Mesa Trail. Follow it up the hill and turn left at El Camino Real. Turn right
at East Arrowhead Ln, left at Arroyo Vista, right onto Mescal which curves to
the right onto Del Mar. Then turn left onto Arrowhead Lane and the house is
down on the left. Probably, where all the cars will be parked! If you miss
Rio
Mesa just go to the stop light and turn left like going to Wal-Mart and
follow
the street around the back of Wal-Mart to Rio Mesa.
Afterward, the local
astronomy clubs, Astronomers of Verde Valley and Sirius Lookers will be going
to our Dark Sky Site called Two Trees. (Between Sedona and Cottonwood) A
nearly 5 day old Moon will be setting over Mingus Mountain at about 8PM.
There
is plenty of room for everyone and RV's are welcome. Maps to Two Trees will
be available at the Sale.
