Hi,
The (nearly) monthly Telescope makers meeting will be next Tuesday, October
19th, at my place starting at 6:30. Come any time before 9:00, everyone's
welcome. I'll be giving a demo of a Shack interferometer in testing an 8 inch
mirror, showing the fringes on a monitor, and will show how the reduction of
fringes to a mirror figure is done. ALSO, and most importantly, we need to
continue polishing the group's 6 inch f/5 mirror that Nivedita has been working
on. We thought polishing was complete but it's not. ALSO, bring a show-N-tell
or something that needs a little machining or bracket bending.
