Hi,
This is an image of M100. It is a grand design spiral galaxy about 55
million light years away in the constellation Coma Berenices. It is one of
the largest and brightest galaxies in the Virgo Cluster and is about 107,000
light years in diameter, making it about the same size as the Milky Way. I
have shown two versions below. The first is a wider FOV which shows many
interesting background galaxies. The other link is to a close up crop of the
galaxy.
