atw: ok rules?

Hello Everyone,


I haven't posted for a while... the last time when I used the term 'gang up' (as in 'ganging up pages' in pagination).

Since it is still holiday season, I wonder if anyone can help me with the origin of 'ok' aka 'okay' (the latter I think being a phonetic approach).

Among the explanations I have heard is that it's some corruption of the German 'alles korrekt' (?). The others seem even more unlikely. Just out of curiosity, does anyone know?
