atw: Word to Acrobat conversion problem

Good afternoon all
When converting a Word 2003 document to PDF format using Adobe Writer 8,
Acrobat adds some extra characters to a StyleRef field in the header.
The extra characters look like a number sequence: 0B, 9B, 10B, 11B...).
I have tried changing obvious Acrobat settings and Word field codes
without success.
Any suggestions?
