The UNIX version of FrameMaker has recordable keystroke macros. This was not included in the Mac and Windows versions on the basis that these OSes already came with programmable macros and scripting languages (such as AppleScript). FrameScript ( www.framescript.com ) is a very capable scripting language for FrameMaker. There's an active FrameScript Users Yahoo group ( groups.yahoo.com/group/framescript-users ) and some consultants who provide training and packages of scripts and who develop scripts on spec. --- Stuart Burnfield Information Developer Australian Programming Centre > While you are doing this can you find out about FM's > equivalent to Word's macros. > I own a copy of FM but have not been able to find a way > to record macros. > > Word macros are a fundamental part of what I do with > documents. ************************************************** To post a message to austechwriter, send the message to austechwriter@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx To subscribe to austechwriter, send a message to austechwriter-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with "subscribe" in the Subject field.
