Technical Writer/Trainer - CBD

Absolute Data Group Pty Ltd, a progressive Brisbane based company, is
seeking a Technical Writer to manage all software specific documentation,
testing and user training requirements for ADGâ??s flagship R4i and Accuro
products and in-house S1000D Training Courses.
Travel may be involved with this role and opportunities to grow with the
company makes this a most exciting position.
Position Objectives - Primary
To update and maintain all product documentation for Accuro and R4i using
Arbortext Epic Editor, including:
â?¢ HTML Help Files
â?¢ Training Documentation
â?¢ User Documentation
Documentation of user guides will be in accordance with AS/NS ISO/IEC:
15910:2004
To update and maintain the ADG S1000D Training Course including:
â?¢ Research S1000D related topics
â?¢ Keep S1000D training in step with the specification
â?¢ Continuously improve the courseware
Position Objectives - Secondary
Maintain ADG style guides and documentation plans including:
â?¢ Ensuring documentation conforms to guidelines
â?¢ Updating style guides to reflect changes in content and procedures
â?¢ Software installation, configuration and testing
To be successful for this role, you will:
â?¢ Have some knowledge of XML
â?¢ Demonstrate an appreciation for â??attention to detailâ?? characteristic of
procedural communication
â?¢ Demonstrate experience of technical writing and the ability to conform
to writing rules and standards
â?¢ Possess excellent written and verbal, customer relationship and
communication skills
â?¢ Ability to assimilate technical information with relative ease and be
comfortable communicating in both training and consultancy environments on
a customer site
â?¢ Good team player with a â??can-doâ?? attitude.
Desirable Skills
â?¢ Strong problem solving and analysis skills
â?¢ Arbortext Epic Editor 5.1 experience
â?¢ Exposure to software testing
Salary
Negotiable, based on experience and credentials.
Additional Information
This position will be based in Brisbane Head Office. Accelerated product
training will be provided on commencement to meet the needs of maintaining
documentation.
