Thanks, Sarah. Sounds like it was an interesting and rewarding

Subject:atw: Report from STC Summit 2019

Hallo tech writers
I was privileged to attend the STC Summit this week - the annual
conference of the US-based Society for Technical Communication. It was
a large event (730 attendees, with 100+ educational sessions over 2
days) and a wonderful experience. I've written notes on each of the
sessions I attended and some impressions of the city of Denver, CO,
where the event took place.
This wrapup post has photos and links to my notes for each
session:https://ffeathers.wordpress.com/2019/05/09/stc-summit-2019-wrapup/

For ease of reference, here's a copy of the list of links to my notes
from each session that I attended (list also contained in the above
wrapup post):

        * Compassionate technical writing [3], by Robert Perry
        * Headless CMS, IoT, and You [4], by Chad Dybdahl
        * More than writers [5], by Alan Porter
        * How analytics can change your world [6], by David Payne
        * Mentoring and being mentored [7], by Carrie Sheaffer and Eva
Miranda
        * Optimizing your content like an engineer [8], by Sara Feldman
        * The trending value of tech knowledge [9], by Tom Johnson
        * Sketching is like technical communication [10], by Elizabeth Alley
        * Improving docs and measuring quality [11], by Barbara Giammona

My own session was about open source docs and the new Season of Docs
[12] program, which provides a framework for technical writers and
open source projects to work together on open source documentation.
