The problem, as far as I'm concerned, is that you offered it without explaining that you have an ulterior motive. Money. Even if you main motivation is to help people who are looking for jobs, you should have explained that you make money from them signing up through your page. For me personally, I get enough of these emails when my spam-killer lets me down, so I don't need more from my Tech Writers' list. I am doing it as a business. I am aware of what ethical business is all about. I am not into promoting unethical business practices. Just like I do not and will not work for managers who motivate by coercion, right? Alright, you have to pay money to enter the program. They make you go through a beginner's course where they tell you what is ethical and legal before they allow you to setup the business. I have learnt the hard way that some internet marketers have no scruples. After the initial investment, I just drop out if that's the case. There is legitimate marketing and legitimate communication. You just have to be able to make that distinction and not through the baby out with the bath water. I'm very interested in the independent references you've found to justify that statement ... I assume I've been unable to find them because I've spent only a few minutes looking. I'd also be very interested if you'd diary for a year's time after you start using the program to let everyone on the list know how much your wealth has increased through the program. That's the kind of personal reference that really counts for something. Thanks! Neil.
