I don't understand what the lie is. Isn't it the case that better interfaces mean clearer docs? If Windows 7 is easy, and would make for an easier doc, then that still makes the point that better interfaces make for clearer docs. In this case, they happen to be showing the less easy Win XP and Vista, which makes the point nicely. Or have I stumbled into the middle of some partisan Mac/PC fight? rwl -----Original Message----- From: austechwriter-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:austechwriter-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Christine Kent Sent: Monday, 25 July 2011 3:33 PM To: austechwriter@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: atw: Re: Better Interfaces Mean Clearer Docs What a lie! Eliminate Windows XP and Windows Vista, and what is left? The comparison would be Windows 7 and Mac. I hook into library, MacDonalds, and airport WIFI from time to time, and it is quick and easy. -----Original Message----- From: austechwriter-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:austechwriter-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Janice Gelb Sent: Monday, 25 July 2011 3:20 PM To: austechwriter@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: atw: Better Interfaces Mean Clearer Docs Exhibit A: McDonald's WiFi connection instructions for Windows and for the Macintosh :-> http://twitpic.com/5vbvf9 -- Janice ************************************************************** Janice Gelb | The only connection Oracle has with janice.gelb@xxxxxxxxxx | this message is the return address ************************************************** ************************************************** To view the austechwriter archives, go to www.freelists.org/archives/austechwriter To unsubscribe, send a message to austechwriter-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with "unsubscribe" in the Subject field (without quotes).
