This is Telstra BigPond's Help page advice to customers enquiring about
checking spam reporting...
Checking Spelling in a Message
To check spelling in a message:

 1. On the Compose page, tick the 'Spell Check' box.
A form with an entry field will appear offering suggestions for words that are
not familiar to it.
 2. To change a word:
    * When the suspect word is highlighted, a list of suggestions will be
shown in the 'Change to' and 'Other Suggestions' list.
Click once on the alternative that you want to use.
    * Click 'Change' to select the recommended word or 'Ignore' to leave your
original spelling unchanged.
    * If you have used a spelling several times, you can also choose to
'Change' or 'Ignore' all similar words with a single click. This can be very
handy, especially if the Spell Check doesn't recognise a name, slang or any
other unusual word.
 3. When you've finished checking for misspelled words, click 'OK'.
