JOB OPPORTUNITY: Document production
Where: Melbourne Central, our client is a consulting company and
the role is on their site.
Duration: 3 months (+), other opportunities may also exist
Description:
Our client is a consulting company with unique IP in the form of an Object
Oriented Methodology - using this a computer systems development site can
use the methodology to build new systems. It is a bit like a cook book - it
provides many different combinations of the way to create a meal - use
several different recipes as it were to get from end to end . This is
currently a many volume set of manuals and guides with lots of pictures all
in HTML format. Everything to every one - you just need to know the right
bits to use for the situation at hand.
The existing information (HTML volumes) are being converted across into XML
file format. This will enable control by a document management system -
online - on the web - and then it can be sliced and diced as required. is
the right set of recipes can be grouped together using the power of the
documentation system
This is a little bit like the final assembly process of completing a large
document - assembling it for production - this role requires control and
coordination skills. IT also requires document construction skills
To this end our client has a number of junior HTML WEB people who are
cutting up the parts - into XML.
This role with the end result in mind is all about assembling the final
product in the 3 month format.
