[austechwriter] Not a Slasher virus.

Hello again AusWordWranglers.

In case any of you were wondering (and even if you were not) the oddly inserted
slashes in my recent postings were not by my intention, design or fault.

Where I type apostrophes or quotation marks, Pacific Webmail <https://webmail.
pacific.net.au/> (which I use to respond to E-mail when I am not at my
home-office) adds in a slash every time.

Plus, if Webmail already detects a slash, it hurls in another so that the
existing slash will not get lonely!

So (and I am sure the point will be demonstrated as follows) it's not a
"Slasher" virus or anything. It just seems to be a feature (most likely to do
with their UNIX Web mail server disliking some WinDoze characters).

Cheers,

Michael Granat
