Bruce, This suggestion simply frees up the space in the subject line for more useful information and what is being discussed. Email clients sort mail on many different criteria. You could possibly use the "Sent TO:" condition, which is in this case is "austechwriter@xxxxxxxxxxxxx". This is unique to this mailing list. I use Outlook and Entourage and they give me all sorts of options. Its all in the book or the file that comes with eMail program called the "HELP" file, which we all know about :-) Cheers FiL =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D On 8/8/2003 9:55 AM, "White, Bruce" <white@xxxxxxxxxx> wrote: > FiL, > That may suit you but it does not suit me. >=20 > Traditionally the name of the list is added to the > subject line so that people receiving the emails can have > their email client automatically sort their mail (usually > into different folders). >=20 >=20 > =8A..Bruce=8A.. > WinHelp IT Editing > mailto:white@xxxxxxxxxx > list owner hdk-l and xdk-l >=20 > hdk-l website > http://winhelp.nu >=20 > xdk-l website > http://xdk-l.nu >=20 >=20 >=20 > } -----Original Message----- > } From: FiL > } Sent: Friday, August 08, 2003 9:43 AM > } To: AusTechWriter > } Subject: [austechwriter] FW: "[austechwriter]" > } in subject line. > } > } > } Hi, > } > } Could the "[austechwriter]" from the subject > } line be removed altogether, as > } in the TechWr-L list for example.
