[audacity4blind] recording a french textbook from tapes to the computer can I use audacity or owuld you recommend something else

Hello:
I have a french textbook on the casette tapes and I would like to digitalize
it. I was wondering whether I could use audacity and whether I would bwe able
to record the intire book from the tape recorder there and then palce some type
of marks at the beginning of the important sections, I am using the stable
version of audacity I believe it is version 2.4. If this is not possible Iwas
wondering what other program you'd recommend to finish this task. If it is
possible to do this in audacity I would apprciate suggestions on how to do so.
