Ah, well, I would expect that kind of delay for audio files that long. I'd
just be patient - audio files are pretty processor intensive.
If I try to export a 9 minute MP3, for example, it takes my old machine about
30-40 seconds. I would expect a 2 hour file to take 6 to 10 minutes.
Best,
David

The files run between 2 and 10 hours. They need to be edited to get rid of
commercials.

How long are the files you are recording?

Subject: [audacity4blind] my small audacity issue
Hi all
I am using Audacity 2.0.3, Windows 7 and JAWS 15.
The problem is, when editing, after every edit Audacity says "Audacity not
responding." It always straightens out but can take up to five minutes to do
so.
Would a later edition of Audacity fix that problem, in your opinion?
If I got one, how would I go about getting the settings correct?
Thing is I don't remember how I fixed the settings in 2013 when I got the
edition of Audacity I am using now.
Thanks for any help.
