[audacity4blind] making converted cassette recording sound brighter

Hi List Members,
I am trying to find a simple way to make portions of a wav file (a converted
cassette) sound brighter so that the highs are not so muffled. The file is
several hours long, and I just want to change certain portions of that file.
Is there an easy way to do this in Audacity, or should I try Sound Forge, Sound
Studio or GoldWave, or some other program?
