You are assuming your computer was hacked. It could be your e-mail account
directly at BT. See this article for what to do if your account is hacked.

Subject: [audacity4blind] hacked e mail account
Hello everyone,
As David has already pointed out, my e mail account has been hacked, I do
have Eset smart security on my system, which is supposed to be one of the
best, not so smart on this occasion it seems.
My apologies for any worries this has caused anyone, obviously DO NOT CLICK
ON ANY LINK IN THE MESSAGE!!!!
delete it immediately.
Best Regards, Jim.
