Hi Olufemi
1. Put your dialog track below the music track. If it is already above
the music track arrow to it and press the Application key and arrow to the
option to move it down.
2. Make sure the dialog track is not selected and the music track is
selected.
3. Select the portion of the music track that covers the dialog. You can
safely select all audio on the track by:
a. Pressing j
b. Pressing shift+k
4. Select Autoduck from the Effects menu.
Perhaps start off with the default settings for the amount of reduction. If
you do not like the result, press control+z to undo and make adjustments to
taste.

Please, how can I perform audio ducking with audacity?
I have my voice file (narrator/speaker's audio track) and music. I want the
music to fast fade to the background whenever the speaker's audio goes up and
the music fast fade in when his voice goes down.
