Hi Michael!

You will need to remove the Audacity configurations for version 2.3 before
running the screenreader version.
Here is how to do this:
Press Command-shift-G in Finder on your Mac.
Type in the following path:
/Users/username/Library/Application Support/audacity
Replace username above with the name of your homefolder.
Press return.
Now press command-A to select all items in the Audacity folder.
Press command-delete to move all items to the trash.
Close the window with command-w.
Now open the screenreader version of Audacity, and now it should work.

Hope this helps

Best regards Thomas

Hi Maria and list,

thanks for your reply. Unfortunately, removing and reinstalling audacity
doesn’t help at all. When launching the app for the first time, there is a
voice-over-invisible window, called tm-agent, but without text. But audacity
itself won’t start at all. The latest version 2.1.3 is running without any
problems, but I would like to use the screenreader-compatible version. Any
further tipps in this would be very good.

Thanks in advance and best.

Michael
