Hi Marlon,
to use Adjustable fade to create a fade down to a certain level, and then
stay at the level, you could do something like this:
1. Select the track, and select a time range to cover the time period over
which you want the fade down.
2. Open adjustable fade. Set fade type to fade down, Start/end as to db
gain, Start to 0, and End to say -6. Press OK.
3. Press right arrow to deselect the time range, and set the cursor to the
end of that time range.
4. Press shift + k to set the end of the selected time range to the end of
the track.
5. You now want to adjust the rest of the track by -6db. You can do that
easily using the amplify effect, entering -6 for the amplification. You
could also do this using the adjustable fade again, with both the start and
the end of the fade set to -6.
