That must be most frustrating. Now for some questions.
Does your description , "each time I try to overdub track over track" mean that
you record one track and then, on a fresh track, sing along with the first?
Did the problem start as soon as you upgraded to the current Audacity version?
Can you describe in a bit more detail exactly what goes wrong? Is it, for
example, that the tracks are out of synchronisation or something worse?
Finally, and at the risk of making this sound like an inquisiton, what audio
host are you using? Oh, and definitely finally, can you give us some details
about your computer such as Windows version?

Hi list.
I have a problem with the most recent version. When i want to play back,
everything is ok, but each time i try to overdub track over track, for
instance, recording simply my voice upon an instrumental, Audacity gets crasy
and the music gets sluggish. Does anyone of you have the same problem? What to
