Still confused.
Does metter which track is on top? How can I align my voice track to start
lets say to the 01:23 time stamp?

Hi Adrian
I have not used Amadeus Pro, but it sounds like it works very differently to
Audacity. This is what I would do in Audacity, given that you already have
the two pre-recorded files. I am assuming that the files are .wav or .mp3
for example and not already part of an Audacity project.
1. Open Audacity
2. Press control+shift+I to open the Import dialog
3. Browse for the first file and press Enter to import it
4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 to import the second file
You will now have two tracks, one with the voice and one with the music.
Adjust levels of each to get the balance you want. You can also apply any
embellishments to either or both tracks. If the tracks do not line up as
you want, Align Tracks under the Tracks Menu is your friend.

Hi,
Can I ask please for stept by step instruction how to add a voice track over
a music track in Audacity?
I don't want to record my voice over music while playing but I wish to work
with two pre-recorded tracks.
I think I still do not understand totally how markers, selection and working
with tracks works all together but I have spent half day to look after
resources where to be trained to do such a basic task.
I can make in Amadeus Pro, in Mac, as example a paste over very easy.
All I need it is to select my voice track to copy it in clipboard and then
to navigate to the music track, insert a marker where the clipboard
selection to be pasted and job done. Even more, before the paste over
command I am asked if I wish to fade in the doc receiving track.
Something similar I am looking for in Audacity.
Could you please provide step by step instructions together with the
relevant short keys please?
