I am told some musicians are doing various parts on some compositions and/or
there maybe a way to do that. You obvious just mentioned one. Some files are
very large so my question was is it sent as raw data or a wav etc.
Also years ago I auditioned live with a band that was in an other city. It was
many years ago from what I remember there was something that hooked up to the
phone then to a amp or monitors on both end.
Was wondering with all the new technology does anyone know of such a thing or
something along that?
Or are those who are doing such things sending them as data daw etc. Also is
there a file sharing site like cloud or something for such large files.
I use all the programs mentioned and at times each ones for various things. I
make the final mixes as stereo and have various options for individual tracks
effects etc. Depending on what programs used.
For example I have a bunch of 4 tracks that were done on a multi track tape
recording.
Some the mixing and panning was done they were mixed down to audacity.
What I like about audacity its sweet and simple it does over complicate simple
things or does it force or make you have to set tempo or bpm.
The work around I found on a forum like this one was put a section of silence
of the same amount on each track when importing multiple tracks to audacity it
works well and is no limit to amount of tracks.
On a song that has changes in a song tempo or bpm same as a 4 track tape
recorder it doesn't restrict you to assigning such things.
Software or programs that do no doubt it can be useful but however complicates
things. As well as make freestyleling tuff.

Sorry, I don’t know what you mean. My suggestion was that Marissa sends me the
Audacity project file. Another option would be to use Zoom or similar remote
access option to work directly on someone else’s computer. For teaching
purposes or for a quick edit that can work well. However, I would not be
comfortable with that approach for detailed editing.

Andrew,
Is it possible to do that on sound cloud or can you explain how folks are doing
that. I currently using audacity and studio one also have cakewalk.
Thanks

Subject: [audacity4blind] My Song with Audacity
Hey guys, so I'm starting to learn Audacity, which is awesome, but Ido have a
time crunch for my friend's song. Once I get the basic songs done, and
recorded, and to the best of my ability, is there anyone who is willing to
help fine-tune it? I just started out, and I do need the song done by next
week.
