Hi,
and just to add, that concerning Reaper, James Teh has written an accessibility
plugin for reaper:

Subject: [audacity4blind] Music software for blind users crowd
source funding campaign

I stress at the outset that this is not a request for
donations. As it does not involve Audacity, it may also be considered off
topic.

My friend Ross McGregor is a blind musician and audio
engineer. He uses, among other tools, the Cubase recording software.
With some scripting/programming help from a friend, Ross is able to use Cubase
effectively with a screen reader.

His plan is to develop a package
comprising Cubase, a screen reader (probably NVDA but perhaps Window-Eyes) and
software that ties them together for use by blind people. This package
would, of course, not be free but Ross assures me that Cubase is very
powerful.

As part of the funding campaign, Ross has prepared a video of
ten minutes or so where he demonstrates his use of Cubase with a screen
reader. Especially for those who have not done much with multitrack
recording, the video may be interesting. You can watch the video on Ross's
GoFundMe page.

As
mentioned at the top, this is not a request to donate. If you believe the
project has merit, Ross would be more than happy for you to mention to
others. If you did want to donate, the page for doing so is not great for
screen reader access. There is the usual issue of input fields not being
correctly labelled and combo boxes present as a series of links to screen
readers. Meanwhile, check out the video if you enjoy recording
environments.
