Hey there,
Maybe I can help your student with live tutorials over Zoom if he has questions
and needs help. I am a slow typist so others on the list like Andrew, David and
Robert can type instructions faster than i. I, however, am better at teaching
by talking and showing.

Yes, my student has a PC. I really appreciate the resources. Currently, he is
my weatherman on my school's daily newscast. We are working on speaking voice
and personal awareness. He is really great with podcasts, so getting him
started with Audacity will give him the ability to edit his work. We are in a
rural town in Missouri, so resources for him are very limited. I am reaching
out everywhere to find things for him.

Hi Jacque,
I'm assuming that your student is using a PC rather than a Mac.
Resources for using Audacity include:
1. This list!
2. Andrew Downie, who's on the list, has produced a number of audio tutorials,
which are available here:
https://www.sendspace.com/folder/xusytz
3. Jim Gamage has made a number of audio tutorials, which are available here:
http://www.talking-computers.org.uk/jimonaudacity.html
4. There's a guide which I've written, which is more of a reference than a
tutorial:

5. There's the Audacity manual, which is available from the help menu, and
online here:

I am a high school teacher of digital media. I am looking for resources and
lessons for a student who is interested in podcasting and all aspects of
digital media. I have downloaded Audacity for him, but need assistance in
ensuring he can use the program. I am also looking for other software and
hardware that we can get to help him be a success.
