That error has been fixed on my laptop without doing anything. After, I
received featback from my friend that scripts worked well with his Jaws 18.0.
I'm using Jaws 2018, so may be this is a bug for this version. Will do your
recommended settings and try it with Jaws.

I don't think that this is a Jaws script issue.
The issue I have found is that if the "auto-select, if selection" required
check box in the track behaviours category of preferences is checked, then if
no tracks are selected and you press any of the keystrokes J, k, shift+j, or
shift+k, then tracks are not automatically selected. This is a change of
behaviour from 2.1.3 which I previously wasn't aware of.
In general I would recommend that the above option is not checked, and this
is in fact the default in 2.2.0
By the way, are you referring to the following version of the script as the
current version?
