Subject: [audacity4blind] Re: Backing Tracks
Thanks Adrian:
Do you know how to get a backing track with just the drums and the bass on that
Kareoke site?
I want to provide the guitar parts and vocals for Jefferson Airplanes White
Rabbit, it is on their catalog. For other songs I may want an organ or piano as
well.
I tried fiddling around but couldn’t figure out how to get only the drums and
bass unless the mp3 file I would download can be split into individual
instrument tracks by audacity.
They have the White Rabbit backing tracks but clicking on an instrument like
bass has the guitar, drums and vocals and so I couldn’t figure out how to
select more than one instrument to get only the bass and drums on the backing
tracks.
Is there a way to select a combination of instruments to get only a bass and
drums or,
Can audacity split out individual tracks from the downloaded mp3 file?

Hi Richard,
I use backing tracks all the time & have got many for free as well as
purchasing them.
I use Kareoke version for my paid ones.
Its good as you can change some of the parametres & select instruments.
https://www.karaoke-version.com/
For free ones I just type into google search the name of the song & add “free
backing” to the end of the song name.

I hope this is helpful.

Subject: [audacity4blind] Backing Tracks
I have a basic understanding of creating tracks and overdubbing.
To explore more I want to create a song, White Rabbit in this case.
I would like, if possible, to have some backing tracks like bass and drums to
work against.
Do any of you use backing tracks from someplace, paid is ok if not crazy $$$.
JamCasm (think spelling is wrong) looked good but the authors gave up
supporting it so I am not sure about that one.
Later and keep safe:
