The Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (MAE) at the University
at Buffalo, State University of New York (SUNY) seeks to fill multiple faculty
positions in the primary research areas pursued in the department of Mechanical
and Aerospace engineering. The areas include: 1) Computational and Applied
Mechanics, 2) Design and Optimization, 3) Dynamics, Controls and Mechatronics,
and, 4) Fluid and Thermal Sciences. Both junior and senior-level applicants
will be considered.
The MAE Department is anticipating significant growth in emerging areas of
Aerospace Engineering, Advanced Manufacturing and Energy and Environment and
Biomechanics. Applicants must have extensive knowledge of and experience with
disciplines relating to Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering. Applicants are
expected to contribute to the core research and teaching missions in MAE. In
particular, the successful candidate will be expected to develop an
independent, externally-funded, internationally-recognized research program,
teach core MAE graduate- and undergraduate-level courses, develop new
specialized MAE courses, supervise doctoral research and contribute to
departmental affairs.
