[askdba] Oracle Portal - Quickstart

Hi All
I want to get jumpstarted on Oracle Portal; Is there any quick start
guide other than the 9iAS book by Oracle Press (which runs to 800-900
pages) ?.
I do see quite a bit of manuas on Portal Doc but that does not really
convince me.
I have a production environment which i cannot lay hands on for
learning (obviously!!).
