NEWS: G-M de Schryver now the PRESIDENT of EURALEX
Hello all,
Last Saturday in Ljubljana (Slovenia), Prof. Gilles-Maurice de
Schryver was elected to the presidency of our sister-organisation
EURALEX. After a break from lexicography for a number of years --
during which he married and became the father of four, but also
during which he developed the field of Bantu Corpus Linguistics --
the two-term Past President of AFRILEX decided to re-engage with his
first love: the making of dictionaries and metalexicography. His
first act as EURALEX President was, fittingly, to sign the
Guidelines of GLOBALEX, the global constellation for lexicography.
