At Minden an area check out with an instructor is required. Also you need a
security pass to enter the airport and a tow pass to tow your ship to the grid.
Andrew Wood that tows for us also tows at Minden. Maybe Andrew could bring a
tow plane up for Fri and Sat if blue tow is down. Something for Tim T to
consider. I can call Andrew if approved.

Subject: Blue Tow
All: Blue tow had some starting issues again today. When Dave S. looked at the
battery, he noticed some melted plastic and insulation. I spoke with Ray W
today, and he plans to drive out Friday AM to investigate. He will also put in
the upgraded radio and change the oil. I thought it would be best to ground
Blue for tomorrow and also for Friday until Ray can finish the work. I’ll go
out to the field tomorrow morning and take some pictures. I’m hoping Ray can
get it fixed in time for the start of the contest. More later. Please relay
this to the membership as appropriate. Thanks!
