science training program
Dear Ishrat,
As discussed, sending you a written feedback of the inaugural training of
Eklavya foundations science training program. It was quite a success, but, I
am specifically mentioning only points of improvement to keep it short and
simple. Copying Rajeshji and Manisha Ma’am so that we are all on the same page.
Also, whenever possible, I have also given oral feedback to the concerned
authorities in the course of training.
- Improvements required from the departments side:
i. All
teachers attending the training need to be science teachers.
ii. Clock
hour basis teachers need to be included (At some places science teachers are
all CHB)
iii. To allow
CHB teachers to attend trainings we need to get a TA/DA circular or gr for them.
iv. Many of the
teachers got the intimation of training a day before , somehow our message did
not go to them , despite the fact that we had planned well in advance.
v. One of the
major issues was that the Vidya Pradhikaran trainings were happening
simultaneously and hence, it was also one reason that designated teachers could
not attend this training. We need to plan better before selecting the dates.
- Improvements required from Eklavya’s Side:
i. Secondary
and senior secondary batches should be separate
ii. Clear
lack of planning, where in resource team was not very sure of objective as well
as content delivery. Next batches will be far more smooth after this experience
I am sure.
iii. For next
phase of training in 400 schools of 3 ATCs , training should happen in June-
July at any cost.
iv. The time
table should be made and shared well in advance with the teachers.(before the
summer vacations start)
v. The very
innovative sessions placed towards the end should happen at midday / post
lunch.
