Sir,
Itgives us immense pleasure to share with you that Tribal Development
Department;Government of Maharashtra has started a three-year initiative,
“Science- A wayof life”. The project focuses on improving science education at
middle schoollevel by providing multiple inputs including intensive teacher
training andproviding hands-on science kit for experiential learning in the
classroom.
As apart of this project, the Tribal Development Department is conducting
firstteacher training for middle school and high school science teachers
inassociation with Eklavya from 22nd to 28th December 2017.Around 150 teachers
from almost 75 schools will be participating in thisprogram. Four training
batches of 35-40 teachers each would be conducted inparallel, wherein a team of
4-5 resource persons would conduct the training. Thistraining will focus mostly
on curricular issues linked to the areas theseteachers needs to transact in the
classroom. This training would be conductedat Prabodhini Institute, Amravati.
Weinvite Prof Kishore Pawar from the Higher Education department of
MadhyaPradesh to be a resource person for the training from 22nd Decemberto
28th December 2017.
Thisis to request you to allow Prof Pawar to attend the training as resource
personfor this period. Tribal Development Department will bear all costs
related to histravel, stay and other related expenses. We would also request
Eklavya to follow this up withyou, hence copying to them,
