The 9th International Conference on Appliable Linguistics

First call for abstracts

 

Conference theme: Language description informed by Systemic Functional Linguistics

Conference date: 8–10 November 2024

 

This year's annual Martin Centre for Appliable Linguistics (Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China) conference will be held 8–10 November. The theme for this year is 'Language description informed by Systemic Functional Linguistics'.

Before the conference, 5–7 November, a training course on Systemic Functional Linguistic language description will be taught by Prof. J. R. Martin, Prof. Christian Matthiessen, Dr. Wang Pin and Dr. Zhang Dongbing. (A provisional schedule is provided below.)  

We cordially invite scholars and students from around the world to attend the conference and the training course.

SFL and its appliability
