The nominal realisation is downranked and metaphorical (as with [in the past]).
Like congruent adverbial realisations, it can be further intensified and
combine with polarity and comparison (but not identically).
Adv gps realising relative location are mentioned in IFG 5.6.2 Types of
circumstance, but aren’t discussed further in 6.4.1 Adverbial group. Plenty of
scope for further research (but no more room in IFG).
