Hi all,

The organising committee would like to send you a brief update about this
year’s conference in Brisbane.

The conference website is now live at
www.asanconference.com<http://www.asanconference.com>. Information about the
conference and a registration link can be found there. The deadline for
registrations/abstract submissions is 30thSeptember. We have had a great
response already but wanted to send out a reminder and ask that if you plan on
presenting and/or attending, please register for catering purposes. We also
have a Twitter<https://twitter.com/ASAN_Conference> and a
LinkedIn<https://www.linkedin.com/company-beta/18169342/> page setup, so feel
free to check those out and follow us there for more updates.

We would also like to announce a 3-minute poster presentation session and
competition. This is a mix of a standard conference poster session with a
3-minute thesis competition. The session is open to any presenter but the
competition is open to students, particularly postgraduates. For more

We are delighted to announce that the Australasian Skill Acquisition Network
(ASAN) conference incorporating the 10th meeting of the Australasian Skill
Acquisition Research Group (ASARG) will be held from Friday 24th – Sunday 26th
of November 2017 at the Australian Catholic University, Brisbane Campus. We
will soon be accepting registrations and abstract submissions for short (15
mins plus questions) and long presentations (30 mins plus questions), applied
sessions (30 mins or 1 hour), and posters.

We will be seeking abstracts that fit within one (or more) of the following key
themes:

  *   Sport and Exercise
  *   Healthy Aging
  *   Rehabilitation
  *   Application
  *   Theory
  *   Expertise
  *   Analytics
  *   Pedagogy, Education, and Learning
  *   Other.

The 2017 ASAN Conference will begin in the afternoon of Friday and conclude on
the Sunday afternoon and will of course feature the traditional Friday and
Saturday evening social events. More details on the program, presenters, and
recommendation travel/accommodation suppliers will follow shortly.
