Running a Code Club where we use the Scratch 2.0 language, I have
found Artworks' SVG export useful for transferring a design to a
'vector mode sprite' in Scratch.
(Confusing terminology here because Scratch's use of the term Sprite
embraces both bitmap and vector types of image).
My initial attempt at importing such an SVG file into Scratch looked
unsuccessful, until I realised that while the SVG file defined an
image with correct dimensions, the maximum Scratch editing window
displayed only a small, central (and in this case blank) portion of
it.
By first using Artworks' Scale tool to scale the selected object(s) by
0.1 (i.e. reducing their size to 10% of the original), the
export/import was successful.
The problem appears to be the very limited display and editing
facilities in Scratch so, knowing this, future designs will be done
quite small with Artworks' Zoom tool set at 1000%!
Any thoughts?
