One problem John has mentioned in conversation in the past is that the second stage jettisons spent batteries partway through its burn, there doesn't seem to be any public information about how much they weigh, and it really matters to performance modeling.

And one problem that I have definitely noticed is that the Electron Payload User's Guide is distinctly short of performance data. Even the data on the basic two-stage configuration is frustratingly sketchy -- better than it used to be, but not by much. When it comes to the optional third stage ("kick stage"), there's hardly anything but marketing puffery, with nary a useful number to be seen.
