And price? Spacex has room to adjust their price to be more thancompetitive with any other launch provider on the planet.
Though it has some specialized bits, falcon Heavy is just 3 falcon 9
boosters and a falcon upper stage.
And- oh yeah- the boosters have been recovered, and are being prepped to
fly again.
So unlike the usual expendable spacecraft, the game is totally changed.
A decision to "obsolete" FH can be changed to decision to re-fly or even
to convert more and up the flight rate. The time to implement such a change
is much much shorter and lower cost than any other ship.
So spacex can adapt to market changes at lightning speed compared to any
other launch provider. Warp speed compared to most.
I would bet that they also know more about the real and potential market
than anyone else, since they can respond to it faster than anyone else.
Ditto with F9. Want to launch an extra dragon cargo? an extra dragon
manned? and additional shared launch of many satellites? another payload?
Relatively quick and easy.
And price? Spacex has room to adjust their price to be more than
competitive with any other launch provider on the planet.
As a well managed business, they would be stupid to drop prices way below
market... just price low enough to assure they get the contract, and
maximize profits to fund their very ambitious development program.
