Although they're large, good quality old 35mm film cameras are cheap now and
later versions had electronic shutter release. It may not be be too hard to use
an altimeter, timer, or such to take predictable photos with one.

Yeah, Camroc was an inspiration for the idea. Even some reusable
point-and-shoots would fit well in a 3” body tube, the hard part IMO is
