Relativity is betting that 3D printing is a silver bullet to mass

Which, on the face of it, is totally crazy: 3D printing is very slow
compared to traditional mass manufacturing processes.
The slowness is not an absolute inevitability, but if they can fix it
they can make a lot more money selling the resulting fast 3D printers
than they ever could with rockets. And coming up with such a fix is
best done on a lab scale with a small team of smart people, not with a
cast of thousands.
