Electronics is quite good:

It has nice explanations of the pros and cons of the various types of
A/D and D/A converters, plus lots on shielding and grounding. Like
the previous editions, it's eminently readable. It's targeted at
people who want to make things work; it uses as much theory as is
necessary, but no more.
