Have you looked at what the NASA Space Grant Eclipse Ballooning teams are
using. I have a university team that is doing this project and will be
streaming video from the balloon to the ground. 2.4 ghz system with 900 mhz
still image streaming. Check out the webpage for starters.

So, I am doing this project that I need your guys help on. I am going to
launch a weather balloon during the solar eclipse this August. I am also
trying to live stream data and video back to earth. Do you guys have any
suggestions on how to accomplish this? Preferably I would like the video to
be 480p, however, this balloon could possibly travel over 100 miles so a
reduction in the quality is understandable. Also any ideas on how to make a
stabilizing platform for the camera would be great. I am thinking of using
some sort of spinning gyro to stabilize the payload.
