The 1st illustration might actually produce thrust *if* it didn't have the
requirement for recirculation ie. if the fluid (with all its transferred
momentum) was allowed to flow out the rear. Won't be very efficient, but ...
and yes I get that defeats the purpose of the concept.
The second "Shark Tooth" illustration is obviously not going to produce
anything as every single stage is cancelling itself out.

I really liked that he built hardware, rather than just making powerpoint
diagrams. Machines like this should be in a required class for engineering
students, where they have to explain why it won't work.
