The primary driver of them heading in that direction was a guy called Jamie
Anderson they employed as their propulsion head, who is/was competent and
has always been an advocate of peroxide ever since I knew him (over 20
years). He's also been a past contributor here. Whilst he was there, they
were kicking some significant development goals given the base they were
starting with. Anyway, a falling out occurred (which I won't go into the
details of here) resulting in him parting ways with the 2 brothers running
the company.
Since then, rumour has it that development has been more challenging for
them and the handling of the peroxide was treated with... perhaps a bit more
complacency than an energetic compound demands.
Anyway (again: rumour has it) HTP was being stored in stainless steel
containment with less than ideal venting (spot the euphemism?) resulting in
an incident involving several fire trucks.
Suffice to say, there didn't appear to be any lesson to come out of this to
suggest that peroxide has any more hidden surprises than what's already been
spoken of here in the past. It's a very energetic compound with an
extroverted tendency to demonstrate its capabilities to one and all, but can
be handled safely if provided the appropriate level of respect.

I couldn't remember the name "Gilmore" (it was G-something) I think it
partly fueled (pun?) by them cutting off of some communications after thedangerous
incident.
The discussion I was (briefly) involved in was the old peroxide is to

I'm pretty sure this didn't happen. Why someone would start such a
rumour is beyond me. Anyway, I asked around yesterday at a local
rocket launch with people involved in the new-space scene in Australia
and nobody had heard anything about it.
The only group doing HTP work in Australia that I'm aware of is
Gilmore Aerospace and whilst they recently (reportedly via that ol'
rumour mill) have experienced a significant HTP incident, no injuries
let alone fatalities were suffered IIRC.

Something like a contaminated H2O2 tank on a rocket test stand
exploded killing one and hospitalizing several ?
