Until recently I've happily used Sunfish (and FTPc) to access my Qnap NAS.
However I recently decided to try using !Omni. This behaves oddly and I
don't know if I'm doing something wrong.
1) When I look in some directories it only shows me *some* of the
subdirectories present. In once case is shows less than half of them.
Whereas Sunfish shows them all. This is in a 'public' (for our home
network) area.
2) Despite asking Omni to save the mounts it never did. To try and get
around this I had to hand-edit !Boot.Choices.Omni.Mounts which I assume I
am *not* meant to do.
3) I'd assumed I could set up Omni to start read-mounted. But I've not
managed to. Clearly again I've not done things right.
I have other puzzles with it, but those are the main ones. Can someone
explain, please? I can just revert to Sunfish, but I guess Omni really
*should* work properly, so assume the problem is me. FWIW I started using
Omni to test playing audio files from the NAS via USB to see if we can
crack 'gapless playback' from a NAS. But I'm getting the more basic
problems above.
